National Institute of Health's Children’s Inn

"The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health is a residential place like home for sick children and their families. Children come from across the country and around the world to stay together with their families in The Inn’s healing environment while receiving groundbreaking medical treatments at the NIH, the world’s leading biomedical research center. While the NIH takes care of the child’s medical needs, The Inn tends to the child’s heart, soul and spirit."

On August 6th, 2008 five chapter members were able to ride their motorcycles to The Inn. The children were elated to have us come and show them our motorcycles, but a huge part of the event was seeing their faces when we gave each of them a biker bear for their own. Pictures will
be forthcoming. The chapter hopes to continue this event at least once each year.

National Center for Children and Families

The Capitol Cruisers have supported the National Center for Children and Families by donating women's and children's clothing, gift cards, toiletries, etc. during the holiday season.
