The Capitol Cruisers have been invited to attend the April 16th Rockville Harley-Davidson Open House. The store will provide us with a table to display our literature and t-shirts for sale. As was discussed at previous meetings, we also wanted to use this opportunity to raise some funds for our annual Susan G. Komen donation. Some ideas were to raffle off an item or have another bake sale or a combination of things.

Please bring your ideas to the April 12th chapter meeting. Also, let me know if you will be available to volunteer at our table during the 10:00 to 1:00 or 1:00 to 4:00 shift. These events are always a lot of fun. There are great sales going on at the store and free food is provided to everyone. Keep in mind when deciding to attend that our monthly ride is the same day and same time.

Finally spring is here and so begins the start of another riding season for many of us. Hopefully those of you who have been idle motorcycle-wise this winter are beginning to get your bikes ready for some great riding.

The Capitol Cruisers is already moving forward with plans for some exciting activities in addition to our monthly rides. First, we will be participating at the Friends of the National Zoo Guppy Gala in May. Details can be found on the Events page. Second, if you read last month’s The Capitol Cruiser you know that Paula is putting together an overnight ride on Saturday June 18 - Sunday June 19 to the fifth annual Motorcycle Camp Night in Blue Grass, VA. Third, Monique is planning an overnight ride to the Eastern shore sometime this spring or summer. Fourth, due to the overwhelming success of our ride to Deep Creek Lake last October we hope to do the same this fall.

Have I gotten you excited yet about being a part of the Capitol Cruisers? Also, remember that the Capitol Cruisers welcomes all riding levels. So if you are a relatively new rider you can still participate in all our events. Hope to see you on the road real soon!
